Make your Christmas happy and healthy in Wandsworth​


As Christmas approaches the NHS is urging local residents to check on their health to be ready for the holiday season.

Wandsworth Chief Pharmacist Nick Beavon said: "People with long term health conditions can be more vulnerable to winter illnesses, particularly if their prescription medication runs out. We're encouraging everyone to check they have enough medication to see them through the festive period."

People in Wandsworth needing urgent medical advice can also contact NHS 111 throughout the Christmas period or visit their local pharmacist for help treating minor ailments.

Appointments take place at hubs in local GP practices at The Junction Health Centre, Clapham Junction, Bedford Hill Family Practice, Balham and Tudor Lodge Health Centre, Roehampton.

Hubs offer pre-bookable appointments during 6.30pm until 8.00pm Monday to Friday. Saturday appointments are available at all hubs between 8am to 8pm. The Clapham Junction hub offers appointments 8am to 8pm on a Sunday. 

 Appointments at the hubs can be made by contacting your GP surgery.
