Wandsworth CCG is required under the Equalities Act to advance equality in our services and employment practices. We want to comply with the law, but most importantly we are committed to making our services 'responsive, accessible and right' for everyone who uses them and who works for the CCG.
EDAY is the day we set aside in the CCG to bring services users from different backgrounds together with our staff to 'hear about the progress we are making to advance equality, learn from their experiences and how our services impact on them, discuss some of the improvements we can make and together identify actions and priorities for the coming year'.
There are 2 pieces of work we are involved with. The first is the Public Sector Equality Duty Report (PSED) which we must publish by the end of the year. This broadly demonstrates how we meet the PSED and how we can evidence that.
The second is setting our equality objectives for the next 3 years based on how we perform against the EDS goals. This work must be completed by end of March 2015.
