We want to commission high quality and accessible healthcare. To make sure this happens there are processes in place for measuring performance.
It is important that Wandsworth CCG and the services we commission meet service and financial targets and demonstrate progress against these targets.
The key standards being monitored through CCGs are outlined in the NHS Operating Framework, which is refreshed and published each year. You can download a copy by going to the Operating Framework page on the Department of Health website.
Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Their aim is to make sure better care is provided for everyone, whether that's in hospital, in care homes or in people's homes. They also protect the rights of people detained under the Mental Health Act.
As part of the Care Quality Commission's role, organisations are required to complete an annual self-assessment against core standards. Further details on the Care Quality Commission can be obtained from the CQC website
